How to prepare green juice

There are indeed many recipes that give you green juice, but I decided first to try the mixture my friend makes, before changing some of the ingredients later.

the components

  • Peeled and chopped apple
  • A glass of orange juice
  • A teaspoon of ginger
  • ½ cup of spinach
  • 5 cubes of ice

How to prepare

  •  I mixed these ingredients just as I did for the first mixture until I had my green juice mix.
  • I drank this juice in the evening before going to sleep, for 3 days.
  • On the other hand, consuming green juice over months and years provides the body with time with much more benefits than what happened to me.

What do green juices do for your body?

Providing the body with the vegetables and fruits it needs:

it is preferable for women over the age of 19 to eat 2.5 cups of vegetables per day, while adult men eat 3 cups. If you drink green juice every day, it may be easier for you to increase your intake of vegetables and fruits.

Micronutrients are more easily absorbed by your body:

It increases the concentration of micronutrients and makes them easier to absorb.

Detoxing Your Body

Green juices are often marketed to “cleanse” the body. However, they are not a miracle product as a multi-day detox diet containing only juice does not seem necessary for our bodies which naturally detox from its toxins.

Through your liver, kidneys, and digestive system While green juice won't instantly flush out all the "toxins" from your body, it can contain nutrients that support your body as it carries out its natural detoxification process.

Hydrates Your Body

Green juices mostly contain water which helps in hydration especially in the morning when our bodies are low on energy. Instead of having tea or coffee as people usually do, it is better to opt for a cup of green juice.

It has an effect on your gut microbiome

In addition to providing nutrients that are easily absorbed by following through with your decision to drink green juice every day, your regular intake of the drink may affect your gut microbiome.

The gut microbiome is a collection of trillions of microorganisms, primarily bacteria found Throughout the digestive tract and most concentrated in a part of the large intestine called the cecum, this microbiome is made up of hundreds of species of microorganisms and which species are present depending largely on your diet.

The microbiome serves many beneficial functions, including helping to digest certain nutrients and producing Vitamin K and some B vitamins to protect us from other microorganisms that can cause disease.
